Hello and welcome. I am the creator of Wabi Sabi Baby, a specialty retailer of unique cloth diapering products. My goal since 2005 has been to enable new mothers to provide loving care for their baby in an ecologically friendly way without sacrificing their sense of style.
“Wabi Sabi” is a Japanese term describing an aesthetic revolving around simplicity, intimacy, and the natural world. It is also centered on the idea of transience, much like the various phases in life through which our children pass so quickly. Wabi Sabi Baby is my expression of this design aesthetic.
In my home life, I approach everyday tasks with a fervor and obsessive compulsiveness that hasn’t slowed down since the birth of my children. And like many, I have become passionate about cloth diapering. I am fortunate to be raising my family in a time when cloth diapers have made a comeback and families are seeking a more natural approach to parenting. My line of diaper covers complement the wonderful selection of prefold, contoured, and fitted diapers that already exist on the market.
I currently live just outside of Austin, TX with my husband, 3 year old son, 1 year old daughter, and our first “baby”, a 7 year old Jack Russell Terrier.
