Winter Dry Skin Relief with Body Bars

Body bars and lip balms share essentially the same ingredients. Check out the ingredients list on both and compare. They’re just packaged differently. In the winter, I prefer to use a body stick since it’s convenient to apply especially when you’re using it frequently. Besides, my lotion is cold. Here’s a simple recipe for an unscented body bar, perfect for winter dry skin relief.

    Tools:

  • Small, heatproof container. I like the stainless steel creamers with a spout
  • Saucepan large enough to hold the container
  • Lotion tubes. You can also you lip balm tubes.
    Directions:

  • Combine oil and beeswax in a heatproof container and melt the mixture in a hot water bath.
  • Add the vitamin E oil just before or immediately after removing it from the stove.
  • Work fast as the mixture will solidify quickly. If that happens, simply re-melt in the water bath.
  • Pour into lotion tube.

Ooh, do you sell body bars by any chance? I really don’t have time to make them, but I love the idea and could definitely use one…

No, but you can easily purchase all-natural lip balms and use it instead – same ingredients.
