I was looking for a way to find a potty chair with a tray for my 15 month old. I have been for months searching because I know he is ready in that he is very regular, but can't yet communicate well and would need something to hold him in long enough so he wouldn't get distracted and walk away from his potty. I am going to do this. My mother and I have been discussing how they don't make potty chairs with table trays anymore (I was potty trained at age 1). We think it is a diaper company conspiracy in order to keep the kids in diapers well past 2 and 3. Thank you for this great idea!

Hi, I came to your site via the article on Care2 (I think!)

I'd love to share your EC /IPT story on my website, to help inspire other parents with the many ways of adapting these ideas into their life.

You can see the other stories here:
http://www.parttimeec.com/ec-stories-index.htm

I have seen the old potty/ tray combo seats - try on ebay under 'vintage potties', that sort of thing. It is just as easy to use something in front of them with toys or a potty charm.

Nobody makes it! Just cut a hole in your booster chair using a reciprocating saw and insert the bjorn potty insert. The bjorn potty is the only 2-piece potty whose insert will work for this easy hack. Other potty inserts don't quite have the lip/overhang. If you're entrepreneurial minded, by all means find a way to mass-produce and market this.
