Easy One-Piece Pattern for Pants 6 – 18+ Months – Cloth Diaper Friendly Too!

If you cloth diaper, you’ll notice that many of the baby and toddler pants are just too tight. I like pants made from stretchy knit cotton fabric such as jerseys and interlocks. They fit well over all types of diapers, from thin disposables to the bulkiest cloths. And, it’s easy to pull and peek in to check for mess. Here’s a simple one-piece pants pattern that’s also very easy to alter. Click on the image to view and download it in its actual size. Or for $2, you can purchase the pdf version with the pattern already split into standard 8 1/2″ x 11″ multi-pages that you just print and piece together.

I’ll be adding your link and this pattern to one of my free guides.

P.S I’m going to have a go at making them from polar fleece I think, and do a ‘gaucho pants’ style for ECing.

Hi. Can you please give measurement of the actual size, e.g. the top edge? I have no idea how to get my printer to partition the pattern so that I can print it in actual size. So, I am thinking of printing “zoom to fit” and then blow up the picture, but how big should I make it? Thanks.

Sadly when I printed the lovely pattern out it didnt print out in the right size, only to just over an a4 size. It did tell me to click on the pattern download it but what downloads were shown certainly were not trouser like at all.

Yours disappointedly, Elizabeth

Great pattern! I couldn’t figure out my printer so I just paid the $2 for the pdf and it was a time-saver. Made several pants in one afternoon! Thanks!
