Easy No Cook Play Dough Recipe Using a Stand Mixer
Traditional homemade play dough recipes are cooked over the stove top, then kneaded until smooth. With this one step method, you do not have to cook the dough or knead it by hand. Simply let your stand mixer do the work for you!
- Ingredients:
- 3 cups flour
- 2 tbsp cream of tartar
- 1 cup salt
- 2 tbsp
oliveoil - 2 1/2 cups boiling water
Mix dry ingredients in stand mixer bowl. Add oil and boiling water. Knead for about five minutes using the dough hook. For colored play dough, add food coloring to the hot water prior to mixing. You can also divide and add food coloring to the play dough afterward. However, it may take longer to produce an even color.

Exactly! And when he’s a little older, he can even help squeeze color into it. Have fun!

Great recipe! thanks! My 2 year old asked to make playdough and I was looking for a recipe that would involve him a little more than the stove top one. Also, love any chance to use my stand mixer!
